A single honeybee colony can visit 50 million flowers in a day.

Roughly a third of the food we eat depends on pollinators, and bees do the heavy lifting. Yet a worker bee makes only about a twelfth of a teaspoon of honey in her entire lifetime — every jar is the work of hundreds.
